District Sales Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for the sales of Electrification products within the Kansas City trade area, aligned with division strategy. Your daily tasks include achieving sales targets to ensure growth, revenue, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction. You will identify and develop new sales opportunities. This is a remote position, preferred to be based in the Kansas City metro area. You will contribute to the Electrification Smart Buildings division in the US. Your main responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and tracking upcoming sales opportunities and influencing customer specifications to favor ABB, increasing market share in commercial, industrial, and governmental segments.
  • Educating customers about product differentiators through technical presentations, introducing new products, and targeting potential customers.
  • Collaborating with Product Managers by identifying product gaps, providing feedback on new products, and sharing customer insights.
  • Generating cross-selling leads and facilitating business processes with ABB Industrial Solutions.
Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field, with at least 5 years of sales experience in large commercial and industrial projects, preferably in electrical products.
  • Experience working with electrical contractors and channel partners is required.
  • Knowledge of the regional electrical industry and ABB products is preferred.
  • Proficiency with analytical software and sales tools; Salesforce.com experience is a plus.
  • Six Sigma or similar quality training is advantageous.
  • Understanding of full product and service portfolios, including power distribution and installation products, is preferred.
