Job summary

GVH Distribution, Ltd. in Lubbock, TX is hiring an experienced Account Manager. This on-site role is split between managing a major supermarket partner and growing Miller Paper & Packaging across the Southern Territory, with regular regional travel.

You will lead long-term relationships, run quarterly reviews, and present growth opportunities while coordinating with internal teams to ensure end-to-end service and strong margins. A high school diploma plus 3+ years sales experience is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years of sales experience in the Jan/San, grocery, or food service industry.
• Proven success managing a major customer relationship at the Director or Business Manager level.
• Solution-selling mindset balancing customer and company interests.
• Comfort with margin, pricing, inventory, and accounts receivable reporting.
• Strong planning and organization; multi-project management.
• Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-starter with strong work ethic and integrity.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly.

Responsibilities

• Own long-term customer relationships from first conversation to final delivery.
• Lead quarterly business reviews and an annual total business review.
• Present results, growth plans, and new opportunities.
• Provide good/better/best packaging solutions, new products, and program ideas.
• Collaborate with corporate departments to deliver start-to-finish service.
• Maintain account health by managing AR, flagging slow-moving inventory, and deadstock resolution.
• Grow Miller Paper & Packaging Southern Territory by developing new customers.
• Monitor pricing and gross margins; work with vendor partners to shape product mix.
