Strategic Account Executive

Who We're Looking For

The Account Executive is responsible for renewing RF-SMART software subscriptions and directly selling RF-SMART products and services to the assigned customer base. The role involves cultivating relationships, seeking and following up on new leads within current accounts to renew and upsell. The Strategic Account Executive will access decision-makers, develop strong relationships, communicate the value of RF-SMART products, quote prices, and shape engagement strategies for each account.

What You'll Do:
  • Develop professional, consultative relationships with clients by understanding their unique business needs.
  • Qualify opportunities and evaluate prospect value.
  • Forecast sales opportunities accurately.
  • Stay informed about competitors to strategically position products and services.
  • Utilize pre-sales resources to close sales and increase revenue.
  • Leverage RF-SMART Customer Care and Support resources to ensure high customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate clearly with internal departments.
  • Participate in strategic meetings as needed.
  • Update CRM systems promptly and accurately.
  • Negotiate contracts effectively with senior decision-makers.
  • Coordinate site visits and customer meetings.
  • Develop advocates within accounts who can serve as references.
  • Prioritize providing high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Manage software subscription renewals.
  • Upsell software to existing customers.
  • Maintain and drive a healthy sales pipeline.
  • Travel is minimal but may include customer visits and trade shows.
  • Build rapport quickly and develop comprehensive account strategies.
  • Manage the sales process from prospecting to closing.
  • Present and sell technology products in a business context.
  • Apply advanced problem-solving skills.
  • Learn quickly and adapt.
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal, presentation, management, and negotiation skills.
What You Bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience.
  • Successful sales experience in software/hardware or high technical acumen.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding goals.
  • Consistent top-level performance history.
  • Experience with consultative selling of services.
  • Experience with CRM systems like Oracle/Siebel, Salesforce, or NetSuite.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of NetSuite and manufacturing/distribution processes is a plus.
