Job summary

IBM Global Sales is seeking an Account Executive to sell Confluent solutions to Digital Native & Enterprise Markets. You will leverage prospecting, negotiation, and leadership to meet quarterly targets while expanding consumption in existing accounts.

You will become a trusted advisor by understanding clients' goals, collaborating with Solutions Engineering, Professional Services, and Customer Success teams to deliver value and growth across strategic accounts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in quota-carrying sales roles in competitive markets and growing consumption.
• Experience in Big Data, Cloud, SaaS, Open Source, or Enterprise IT Solutions.
• Sales methodology training (e.g., MEDDPICC, Challenger).
• Experience leading a highly complex sales strategy to drive revenue growth.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quota attainment.
• Ability to articulate business value to diverse businesses.
• Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive revenue growth in large, complex accounts.
• Prospect, qualify, develop, and close a sales pipeline while expanding consumption.
• Lead strategic, complex sales cycles with C-Level value demonstrations.
• Become SME of Confluent offerings and competitive landscape.
• Understand customers' goals to act as trusted advisor.
• Collaborate with partner ecosystem to sell through channels.
• Coordinate with Solutions Engineering, Professional Services, and Customer Success for wins and renewals.
