Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking an Account Manager in the Freight & Carrier division to manage an established portfolio of corporate clients in a hybrid/onsite environment in Houston or Irving, TX. You will nurture relationships, quote lanes, support daily freight operations, and resolve issues to protect service levels.

The ideal candidate brings 2–4+ years in logistics/account management, a strong communication style, and proficiency with TMS and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–4+ years of hands-on account management or operational experience within Logistics, Freight Forwarding, or Transportation.
• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Account Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for an assigned book of established customer accounts, building trust and maintaining high customer satisfaction.
• Account Expansion & Quoting: Identify opportunities to grow revenue within existing customer accounts, provide competitive lane/freight quotes, and present expanded service offerings.
• Conflict & Dispute Resolution: Act as the operational problem solver for client issues, freight delays, OS&D incidents, invoice discrepancies, and billing/AR inquiries.
• Operational Alignment: Work closely with internal operations, dispatch, and project teams to ensure client SLAs are met and all processes/SOPs are followed.
• Reporting & Analysis: Analyze account activity, track shipment trends, manage call/status reports, and provide regular weekly updates and corrective action plans to leadership.
