Job summary

The City of Lake Oswego is seeking a Utility Technician in the Storm Water Division of the Public Works – Operations. The role focuses on maintenance, operation, and repair of streets, sewers, and water systems to support a progressive, innovative community.

Responsibilities include CCTV inspections, ditch rehabilitation, storm line repairs, and heavy equipment operation. Requires a HS diploma or GED and two years’ related experience, with licensing and occasional after-hours work possible.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of experience in landscape, maintenance, construction or related work.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required licenses/certifications.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate citizen complaints by on-site inspection and respond to information requests.
• Perform welding, carpentry and related semi-skilled to skilled tasks.
• Install traffic signs and operate equipment like backhoes and dump trucks.
• Cleans and televises storm lines, enters data into asset management system.
• Inspect and maintain stormwater assets and perform routine maintenance.
