Job summary

City of Largo seeks a semi-professional technician to inspect, maintain, and construct stormwater facilities, rights of way, and roadways under the City’s jurisdiction. Under supervision, you will operate Class-A CDL vehicles and a range of equipment, follow safety procedures, and help meet project schedules while supporting a high-performance, safety-conscious team.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma, a Florida CDL, and willingness to engage in ongoing training and emergency

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent and relevant equipment operation experience.
• Florida CDL B permit with air brakes; progress to Class B license within 12 months.
• Maintenance of Traffic Certification and related safety trainings are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain street and stormwater facilities.
• Operate Class-A CDL vehicles and heavy equipment.
• Follow safety procedures and perform basic maintenance on equipment.
• Coordinate with supervisor to meet project schedules.
