Sarasota County Government is actively seeking an engineer to support stormwater management, review site development plans, and ensure compliance with the Unified Development Code (UDC) and watershed models.

You will update watershed models, assist with CFHA reviews, and collaborate with engineers, the Building Department, and external partners to address stormwater concerns and optimize watershed management.

Qualifications

Degree in Civil Engineering or related field with 2 years of engineering/project management experience.
Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field with 1 year of civil engineering experience.
Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement.

Responsabilités

Review site development permits and capital projects for compliance with UDC and watershed model.
Prepare written comments and coordinate with engineers of record to resolve concerns.
Review earth-moving permits and plat applications for stormwater compliance.
Maintain development plans and models, and participate in DRC meetings.
Update and maintain the county's record watershed models and GIS database.
Provide stormwater modeling support and assess floodplain delineations and level-of-service.
