Sarasota County is seeking a Civil Engineer to support stormwater management and watershed planning. You will review site development permits, assess compliance with the UDC and watershed models, and prepare technical comments with engineers of record to resolve issues.
You will update watershed models and GIS databases, provide modeling support for maintenance projects, and participate in DRC meetings and public hearings to help safeguard County infrastructure and growth.
Qualifikationen
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field plus 2 years of engineering/project management experience, or Master’s degree plus 1 year of experience.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for degree requirements.
Aufgaben
- Review site development permits and County capital improvement projects for stormwater compliance with the UDC and watershed models.
- Prepare written comments on stormwater inconsistencies and coordinate with engineers of record to resolve concerns.
- Review earth-moving permits and plat applications for stormwater compliance; maintain development plans, files, and models; participate in DRC meetings.
