The City of Casselberry is seeking a Stormwater Maintenance Worker to perform maintenance and repair of stormwater facilities, lakes and ditches in Casselberry, FL. The role operates independently within established policies and safety procedures as part of the Public Works & Utilities Department.

Primary duties include facility upkeep, vegetation control, equipment operation, and responding to work orders.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience in construction, landscape or related field.
• Valid Florida driver's license required; MVR check performed.
• Florida Stormwater Association Certification Level I preferred within 12 months.
• Background clearance per FDLE; ability to obtain within 12 months.

Responsabilidades

• Maintains and repairs public facilities including stormwater run-off, ponds and ditches.
• Performs landscape maintenance around stormwater ponds, lakes and ditches.
• Maintains shoreline; herbicide use and weed removal as needed.
• Inspects and cleans stormwater lines and baffle boxes; conducts filter maintenance.
• Repairs pipes and inlets along roadways; responds to work orders.
• Performs inspections per NPDES guidelines and follows up with repairs.
• Assists Streets division with projects.
• Participates in after-hours/on-call rotations for emergencies.
• Attends department meetings and completes training timely.
• Maintains records in accordance with FS Chapter 119.
