The City of Doral seeks a full-time inspector to oversee construction activities on streets, storm drains, and canals, ensuring contract compliance and documentation. The role includes inspecting work, tracking progress, and coordinating with contractors under the Stormwater Utility Manager.

Qualifications include an associate degree or equivalent, two years' inspection experience, and Florida certifications; OSHA trench safety certification must be obtained within one year.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree (AA/AS) or equivalent in technical/construction/engineering.
• Two years' experience in construction inspection for roads, storm drain systems, canals, etc.
• OSHA approved trench safety certificate within 1 year of hire.
• Florida Stormwater Erosion, Sedimentation Control Inspector, Traffic and Stormwater Operator Level 1 & 2 certifications required.
• Valid Florida driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsabilités

• Oversees and documents the performance of contractual services within contract scope and budget.
• Monitors scheduling and progress to improve efficiency and meet timelines.
• Records needs for materials and coordinates with supervisor for acquisition.
• Uses GIS or Google Earth to record important dates, progress, and issues on stormwater infrastructure.
• Performs invoice analysis and reviews payment requests against contracts and logs.
• Reviews Stormwater programs as directed by the Stormwater Utility Manager.
• Ensures safety and compliance with City safety standards.
• Maintains communications between department, contractors, and the City.
• Attends trainings and safety courses as needed.
• Performs related duties as required.
