Stormwater and Watershed Protection Professional

Job Description: The Stormwater Inspector / Field Technician performs field inspections, data collection, and maintenance activities to support the City’s stormwater management program and compliance with state and federal (NPDES/MS4) regulations. Work involves inspecting public and private stormwater infrastructure, documenting conditions, supporting enforcement of local stormwater ordinances, assisting with maintenance projects, and providing education and outreach to the public and private property owners.

Education/Experience Requested:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Associate degree or coursework in environmental science, civil engineering, construction management, or a related field preferred.
  • One (1) to three (3) years of experience in stormwater management, construction inspection, public works, or related field.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Experience with municipal separate storm sewer system (MS4) program implementation preferred.
Licenses Requested for Position:
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Ability to obtain additional certifications within 12 months of hire.
