EKI Environment & Water, Inc. in Daly City, CA is seeking a Stormwater Engineer/Scientist to support stormwater compliance and design for municipal, industrial, and commercial clients.

The role requires 3+ years in environmental engineering, strong report writing, data analysis, and ability to work with cross-functional teams; PE/IG licenses preferred; ESOP and comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience as an engineer or scientist in the environmental engineering/consulting field with a background in industrial stormwater
• Professional Engineer license, Engineer-In-Training certification, or Professional Geologist license preferred
• Qualified Industrial Stormwater Practitioner (QISP) certification or interest in obtaining preferred
• Experience with AutoCAD, AutoDesk Civil 3D, or ESRI Pro software packages preferred
• OSHA HAZWOPER training preferred

Responsabilités

• Serve as a key member of the Environmental practice with the ability to step in and immediately manage various environmental projects
• Prepare technical memoranda, Exceedance Response Action (ERA) reports, electronic deliverables, and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs) and review and analyze data throughout the project cycle
• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses of stormwater runoff
• Design stormwater best management practices
• Inspect commercial, industrial, and construction sites for conformance with applicable stormwater permit requirements
• Perform pollutant source assessments
• Collect samples and evaluate stormwater quality data
• Provide training to client personnel regarding applicable permit requirements, sampling procedures, and BMP implementation
• Assist with permit applications and communicate with various environmental permitting agencies
• Work with internal and external team members to produce successful projects
• Other duties as required
