Job summary

The City of Buda, TX is seeking a Drainage Supervisor to lead drainage and right-of-way crews, plan inspections, and supervise repairs to ensure reliable stormwater conveyance and flood risk reduction. You will coordinate with Engineering, Utilities, and outside partners to deliver safe, compliant projects.

Starting salary depends on qualifications and experience. A strong candidate will have several years in drainage or public works, supervisory experience, and a focus on safety and customer

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Five years of progressively responsible drainage/public works experience.
• One year of lead-worker or supervisory experience preferred.
• Equivalent education/training may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and assign daily drainage and right-of-way work.
• Coordinate maintenance, inspections, and repairs of drainage assets.
• Lead safety, training, and performance evaluations for crews.
• Review plans and ensure work meets design intent and standards.
• Inspect sites, enforce quality, and resolve field issues.
• Coordinate with departments, contractors, and the public.
