Job summary

TYLin seeks a Stormwater Engineering Designer to join our Richmond, VA-based Mid-Atlantic team. The engineer will assist in planning, design, and implementation of stormwater and climate resiliency infrastructure for Richmond and Central Virginia, under the Program Manager.

Focus includes reviewing plans for municipal projects and permitting. The role requires collaboration with project teams, potential DEQ Plan Reviewer certification, and effort toward practical, resilient solutions for

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering preferred.
• Experience in stormwater design for municipal clients.
• Familiarity with Virginia stormwater regulations and permitting processes.
• DEQ Plan Reviewer certification required or obtainable within three months.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, engineering design, and oversight for municipal infrastructure projects.
• Prepare design and construction documents for stormwater, water, and climate resiliency facilities.
• Review designs, bid packages, and SOWs as part of program management.
• Contribute to projects from planning through construction for Richmond-area clients.
• Mentor design staff and support grant writing and funding procurement.
• Assist business development with municipal clients across Virginia.
