Job summary

TYLin is seeking a Stormwater Engineering Designer to join our Richmond, VA-based Mid-Atlantic team. The Engineering Designer will support the planning, design, and implementation of stormwater, water, and climate resiliency infrastructure projects for the City of Richmond and communities throughout Central Virginia.

This role focuses on Richmond-area climate resiliency initiatives, including reviewing engineering plans and permit applications, and collaborating with municipal clients to deliver

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering preferred.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in stormwater design and engineering for municipal clients.
• Demonstrated ability to develop designs and construction documents for complex infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, engineering design, and oversight for municipal infrastructure projects.
• Prepare design and construction documents for stormwater and water facilities.
• Review engineering designs, bid packs, and statements of work as part of a program management role.
• Assist with grant writing, funding procurement, and business development with municipal clients.
