Job summary

Starting salary is $47,483.29 per year and can reach $69,324.17 in extenuating circumstances or with additional qualifications. A valid Florida CDL-B and MOT certificate are required, with training provided for eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, plus 3 years' construction and equipment operation experience.
• Florida MOT Certificate or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Florida Class B CDL with endorsements and clean record or ability to obtain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Assigns tasks and guides crew in stormwater maintenance and ensures tools and materials are ready.
• Ensures proper drainage by analyzing site grade elevations before and after work.
• Provides material quantity estimates and assists with ordering.
• Sets up traffic control and work zones safely.
• Responds to homeowners' requests about stormwater activities.
• Maintains and repairs stormwater equipment.
• Pre-checks daily work orders and prioritizes tasks with supervisor.
• Makes recommendations on methods and crew size for progress.
• Completes work orders and reports accurately.
• Safely drives and operates city vehicles as required.
