Job summary

The City of Odessa, Texas is seeking a paraprofessional to support the Stormwater Management Program. You will provide technical and administrative assistance to the Stormwater Administrator for development and enforcement of rules, regulations, and policies.

Responsibilities include field inspections, responding to requests, preparing reports to regulatory agencies, and assisting in program compliance with stormwater laws.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• At least one year of customer service experience.
• Experience as inspector/technician in public works is a plus.
• Ability to read site plans and interpret regulations.
• Familiarity with stormwater regulations and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and enforcing stormwater rules and policies.
• Conduct on-site field inspections for compliance with laws.
• Answer citizen inquiries and coordinate with City officials.
• Prepare letters and reports to regulatory agencies.
• Support contractors and facilities in stormwater compliance.
