The City of Odessa, Texas is seeking a paraprofessional to support the Stormwater Management Program. You will provide technical and administrative assistance to the Stormwater Administrator for development and enforcement of rules, regulations, and policies.
Responsibilities include field inspections, responding to requests, preparing reports to regulatory agencies, and assisting in program compliance with stormwater laws.

Responsible for performing paraprofessional services in connection with executing the City of Odessa's Stormwater Management Program. This position provides technical and administrative assistance to the Stormwater Administrator for the development and enforcement of rules, regulations and policies.

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Education, Training and Experience Guidelines: High School Diploma or GED required; AND one year of customer service, computer experience. Experience as an inspector, technician or surveyor in the fields of construction, engineering, or maintenance of public work projects is preferred.
A valid Texas State Driver's License is required.
Work is performed in a standard office environment, and at outdoor construction sites; may be exposed to safety hazards. Special Notices to Applicants: Work is performed both inside and outside. Duties may involve exposure to extreme weather conditions. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required. Must possess general knowledge of storm water drainage systems, water quantity and quality data, Federal, State and local laws relating to stormwater and natural resources. On the job training available for hired candidate.
$20.50 - $28.31 per hour
