Job summary

City of Odessa is seeking a Stormwater Program Technician to provide paraprofessional support for the Stormwater Management Program. You will assist the Stormwater Administrator with enforcement, permit processing, and documentation.

Responsibilities include field inspections, preparing regulatory letters, and coordinating with city staff and the public. A Texas driver's license and basic computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; AND one year of customer service, computer experience.
• Experience as an inspector, technician or surveyor in construction, engineering, or maintenance of public works is preferred.
• Knowledge of stormwater regulations and related codes is expected.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site field inspections for code enforcement and stormwater permits.
• Assist in preparing letters and reports to regulatory agencies and document compliance.
• Assist in inspecting City facilities to ensure stormwater compliance.
• Support public participation programs and general city stakeholder relations.
• Maintain regular attendance and support divisional operations.
