Job summary
Anne Arundel County Government seeks a full-time Stormwater Management Inspector to ensure compliance with soil erosion and stormwater regulations across residential and commercial construction. The role involves reviewing plans, advising stakeholders, issuing permits, and generating detailed inspection reports.
A high school diploma, 2+ years of related experience, and MD certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months) are required; CDS testing applies.
Qualifications
- Graduation from high school with courses in plan reading.
- Two+ years in erosion control or related field; MD certificate or ability to obtain within six months; valid MD non-commercial license.
- CDS and alcohol testing applies as safety sensitive role.
Responsibilities
- Conduct soil erosion, sedimentation, and stormwater inspections; attend construction meetings.
- Advise contractors and landowners on soil erosion and stormwater codes.
- Assist in review of applications, issue permits, and initiate corrective actions.
- Prepare inspection reports and maintain records; participate in seminars.
