Job summary

The ISA Certified Arborist is seeking a Climber to perform climbing, pruning, and removing trees in Sapulpa, OK. The role requires working with various pruning tools and equipment while adhering to safety rules and directions from the Foreperson.

This full-time position offers health insurance benefits (medical, vision, dental) and the option to enroll in a 401K. Travel for storm work is required; background check and drug screen are part of the hiring process.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in electric utility vegetation management, construction, logging, landscaping, mechanical, or military industries preferred.
• Previous climbing experience preferred.
• High School diploma or education equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Climb, prune, and remove trees according to Foreperson’s directives.
• Load and unload trucks with logs, brush, and debris; feed brush into chipper.
• Work from the ground using hand saws, pole saws, pruners and gas-powered chain saws.
• Inspect and ensure proper condition of tools and equipment.
• Enforce safe practices and protect others from hazards around the work area.
• Perform duties for storm work as needed.
