Job summary

ISA Certified Arborist is seeking a Climber to perform tree climbing, pruning and removal tasks in accordance with safety directives. The role involves handling tools, loading materials, and assisting with storm restoration work as needed.

The position emphasizes knot- and rope-based rigging, emergency rescue techniques, and the ability to work at height under varying conditions. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate knowledge of knots, ropes, and rigging devices used in tree trimming and removal operations.
• Must be able to climb and descend trees using rope and safety saddle.
• Must be able to administer emergency rescue techniques including tree rescue and basic first aid.
• Must be familiar with electrical hazards and safe procedures near conductors and aerial rescue aloft.

Responsibilities

• Climb, prune, and remove trees according to Foreperson’s directives.
• Load and unload trucks with logs, brush, and debris; feed brush into brush chipper.
• Inspect and ensure proper working condition of all tools and equipment.
• Safeguard employees and the public by enforcing safe job practices and maintaining a clean work area.
• Perform duties for storm work as needed.
