Job summary

J.Crew Group is seeking a collaborative Workforce Planning & Operations Manager to own store payroll budgeting, labor modeling and scheduling. You will partner with FP&A, HR and field leadership to forecast hours, manage Dayforce/Workday systems and deliver actionable insights to drive profitability.

This role requires 3–5 years in retail workforce management, advanced Excel and BI skills, and experience with Dayforce or Kronos. Hybrid work and generous benefits accompany the position.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in retail workforce management or store operations.
• Proven experience owning or managing payroll/labor budgets and forecasts.
• Hands-on with workforce management platforms (Dayforce, UKG/Kronos, Legion or similar).
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, modeling); experience with Power BI or similar BI tools.
• Clear communicator who can translate data into actionable insights for senior leaders and store teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the full store payroll cycle, from budgets to forecasted hours and costs.
• Partner with FP&A to track payroll expense and variances; respond to trends.
• Design and run payroll tests and labor investments; quantify impact on sales and service.
• Build and maintain the labor model and scheduling guidelines by store volume.
