Job summary

Target’s Stores Executive Intern program offers paid, 40 hr/week hands-on training to prepare you for the Stores Executive Leader role. As a Stores Executive Intern you’ll work with managers to learn store operations, guest service, and leadership responsibilities within a Target store.

This internship provides real responsibilities on the sales floor and backroom, opportunities to lead teams, develop business priorities, and gain exposure to multiple areas of the store while learning Target's

Qualifications

• Previous retail experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong interest in working in retail, specifically within our stores in management.
• Leadership skills and team‑oriented thinking.
• Learn and adapt to current technology needs.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude.
• Effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead store team on daily priorities on salesfloor and backroom.
• Partner with ETL mentor to learn roles.
• Lead through daily priorities (stocking shelves, safe environment).
• Provide performance feedback to team members.
• Set goals and present results with leadership team.
• Deliver exceptional guest experience and empower team to resolve issues.
