Education:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Associates or Bachelor's in Criminal Justice preferred (Asset Protection Team Member Only).

Work Experiences:

• Previous related work experience preferred.
• Operating POS equipment, symbol, and telephone preferred. (Cashier Only)
• Support of people and processes to drive operational excellence and sales targets. (Cashier Only)
• 4+ years of outdoor hobbies, interests, and skills; fishing and hunting experience preferred. (Outdoor Enthusiast Only)
• CPR and First Responder certification is a plus. (Asset Protection Team Member Only)
• Loss Prevention or Criminal Justice background is a plus. (Asset Protection Team Member Only)

Skills:

• Excellent customer service orientation.
• Ability to connect, build rapport, and engage with customers, especially those interested in sports and outdoor pursuits; bilingual skills are a plus.
• Effective problem solving and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with strong organizational and detail orientation.
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow safety rules, operation instructions, plan-o-grams, and manuals.
• Proficiency with basic math and common sense application.
• Operate and train others on POS equipment, symbol, and telephone (Cashier Only).
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence (Cashier Only).
• Knowledge of inventory software and order processing systems (Cashier Only).
• Passionate about outdoor hobbies such as fishing, hunting, shooting, and camping (Outdoor Enthusiast Only).
• Must meet federal and state requirements for firearms transactions (Fishing and Hunting Sales Team Member Only).
• Must qualify for and maintain FOID card (Illinois only, Fishing and Hunting Sales Team Member Only).
• Proficiency with basic hand tools and cleaning equipment.
• Provide prompt, friendly service to customers and team members.
• Knowledge of emergency response procedures.
• Strong situational awareness and observation skills.

Physical Requirements & Attendance:

• Flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Normal hearing and vision to perform duties.
• Adherence to work hours, policies, and rules.
• Frequent walking, reaching, talking; occasional sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, pushing, and pulling.
• Constantly lift up to 10 pounds; occasionally lift up to 60 pounds.
• Stand, handle, and use hands and fingers repeatedly.
• Visual abilities include close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception, and focus adjustment.
