They are responsible for ensuring fast, friendly customer service, helping customers navigate the wide range of products we offer, and impacting customer satisfaction, store profitability, and our mission.

Qualifications:

Education:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice preferred (Asset Protection Team Member only).

Work Experience:

• Previous related work experience preferred.
• Experience operating POS equipment, symbol, and telephone preferred (Cashier only).
• Experience supporting people and processes to drive operational excellence and sales targets (Cashier only).
• At least 4 years of personal experience with outdoor hobbies such as fishing and hunting preferred (Outdoor Enthusiast only).
• CPR and First Responder certification is a plus (Asset Protection Team Member only).
• Loss Prevention or Criminal Justice background is a plus (Asset Protection Team Member only).

Skills:

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to connect and build rapport with customers, including bilingual skills as a plus.
• Effective problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow safety and operational documents.
• Proficiency in basic math and understanding instructions.
• For Cashier roles: operate POS, symbol, and telephone; write reports; use inventory software.
• For Outdoor Enthusiast: passion and knowledge of outdoor hobbies.
• For Fishing and Hunting Sales: meet federal and state requirements for firearm transactions and FOID card (Illinois).
• Proficiency with basic hand tools and equipment.
• Provide prompt, friendly customer service.
• Knowledge of emergency response procedures.
• Strong situational awareness and observation skills.

Physical Requirements & Attendance:

• Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Good hearing and vision to perform duties.
• Adherence to work hours, policies, and rules.
• Physical ability to walk, reach, talk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, push, pull, lift up to 60 pounds, and perform repetitive motions.
• Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception.
