Job summary

The North Face, a VF Corporation brand, is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in California to lead a team, drive sales, and uphold exceptional customer experiences. You will partner with the Store Manager to optimize profitability through strong coaching, merchandising, and operations, while maintaining an inclusive, high-performing retail culture.

2+ years in retail leadership plus a high school diploma are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years retail or store leadership experience in a fast-paced environment.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; hands-on achievements valued.
• Ability to coach and develop a diverse team to meet goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and motivate Brand Advocates to deliver best-in-class customer experience.
• Partner with Store Manager to drive profitability through engagement, merchandising, and operations.
• Oversee opening/closing, floor coverage, and task delegation.
• Assist in recruiting, hiring, and onboarding with high-caliber talent.
• Provide ongoing training, feedback, and development to team members.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and stock replenishment per brand directives.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and drive a respectful, inclusive environment.
• Support inventory management and shrink control.
