Job summary

ALDI USA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, drive performance, manage schedules, and develop the team. Beginning wage is $26.50 per hour with a planned raise to $27.50 in Year 2 for a full-time role averaging 38 hours weekly.

The role includes supervising staff, implementing action plans, maintaining store standards, ensuring loss prevention, and delivering strong customer service while upholding company policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a retail environment.
• Prior management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists the direct leader with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results.
• Establishes and communicates job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports.
• Identifies training and development opportunities for direct reports.
• Communicates and models company values to create teamwork.
• Monitors competitive environment and informs leadership of adjustments needed.
• Provides product feedback and makes recommendations on items to carry or discontinue.
• Participates in interviewing store personnel.
• Ensures adherence to inventory, product handling, and cash control policies.
• Ensures store cleanliness and proper signage at all times.
• Maintains stock levels through appropriate product ordering.
• Merchandises products to maximize sales.
