Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will assist with daily functions, help customers, and ensure merchandise is well-organized and properly displayed. Responsibilities include opening/closing procedures, processing directives, supervising and training staff, and maintaining a safe, clean store.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers with questions or concerns in a positive manner.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain fixtures and displays; ensure promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and handling deposits/receipts.
• Maintain a well-stocked, clean store and organized stockroom.
• Protect and secure all assets, including store cash.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a safe, respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Keep restrooms clean and restocked; sweep/mop floors; take out trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
