Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Texas LLC in Marquez, Texas is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, organize merchandise, and help open and close the store while ensuring safety and payroll-related tasks are handled.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to lead and train Store Associates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail or grocery is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Understand and explain operational directives.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address any questions or concerns they may have
• Help organize merchandise and transfer from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping including payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits
• Maintain a well-stocked store and organized stockroom to company standards
• Protect and secure store assets including cash
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Ensure a positive, safe and respectful environment with customers and staff
• Maintain cleanliness, bathrooms, floors, trash, and neat areas
• Other duties as assigned
