Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Texas LLC in Quanah, TX is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations and customer service while leading and developing the store team. This role emphasizes hands-on leadership, strong communication, and daily task management on a busy retail floor.

Responsibilities include opening/closing, merchandising, loss prevention, scheduling, and implementing corporate directives to maintain a safe, welcoming, and efficient store environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (including payroll, scheduling, and cash handling), and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store and stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop store associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Ensure store is clean and presentable; restock bathrooms and floors.
• Other duties as assigned.
