Job summary

Groundwork Coffee in Santa Monica seeks a Store Team Lead to model our values and inspire a welcoming, inclusive, and clean community environment. Reporting to Retail Leadership, you will implement Groundwork standards to improve store performance and guest experience.

You will lead shifts, ensure product freshness, manage stock and schedules, coach the team, and uphold hospitality and service standards to deliver unequaled quality for guests and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Valid ServSafe certification or equivalent Food Handlers card.
• 1 year of managerial experience is highly preferred.
• 2 years of experience in the coffee industry.
• Must be able to perform math computations and navigate operation apps.
• Able to work 30 hours a week including weekends.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Lead team in prioritizing serving guests and maintaining a welcoming store.
• Ensure product freshness and quality, and adherence to standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization reflecting Groundwork brand.
• Use service and audits tools to coach quality and accountability.
• Plan staffing, stock, and scheduling in collaboration with leadership.
• Train staff on initiatives and store performance goals.
