Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a proactive Store Team Leader to guide all store personnel, drive merchandising, and ensure outstanding customer service. You will recruit, train, and develop staff, manage inventory, and oversee daily store operations to support exceptional shopping experiences.

You will lead open/close procedures, monitor safety standards, and collaborate with HR to maintain proper staffing levels while upholding company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Post-secondary business training preferred.
• Minimum two years of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Ability to recruit, train, and manage store staff.

Responsibilities

• Provides superior customer service leadership to exceed the customer's expectations.
• Models and coaches the team on balancing tasks with customer service to create a customer-centric culture.
• Evaluates and incorporates customer feedback into employee training and coaching to ensure the store meets ongoing customer expectations.
• Maintains a safe, clean and well-organized store environment that delights customers and employees.
• Oversees inventory ordering to meet in-stock targets and reviews ordering plan weekly.
• Ensures store is opened and closed properly each day.
