Job summary

Dollar General is seeking an experienced store leader to manage all aspects of store operations including staffing, training, merchandising, and customer service. You will oversee ordering, receiving, stocking, and presenting merchandise while enforcing cashier accountability and safety standards.

The role requires building a skilled team, analyzing sales performance, and ensuring daily open/close procedures.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
Knowledge of cash handling procedures and inventory management.

Responsibilities

Recruit, select and retain qualified employees according to laws and policies; ensure store is properly staffed.
Provide training, conduct performance evaluations, identify gaps and counsel or terminate as needed.
Set pay recommendations and advancement where appropriate.
Communicate expectations; lead safety and policy adherence; coordinate meetings.
Open and close the store reliably; manage daily staffing and operations.
Analyze sales, profit, and inventory trends; monitor shrink and errors.
Order and manage stock targets; review ordering plans and cycle counts.
Stage, stock, and merchandise to meet presentation standards; ensure pricing and signage are correct.
Maintain inventory accuracy; control damages and cash handling integrity.
Provide superior customer service leadership; maintain a clean, safe store environment.
