Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help maintain a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist with supervision, merchandise presentation, paperwork, and deposits under the Store Manager's direction.

The role involves stocking, cashiering, and adherence to policies while protecting assets and reducing losses. Strong interpersonal skills and experience in retail supervision are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year retail experience and at least six months supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet customers, operate cash register and scanner.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling and training employees, and conduct safety meetings.
• Follow work processes for receiving, stocking, restocking and presenting merchandise.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels by controlling damages, markdowns, scanning, and paperwork.
• Assist in implementation of planograms and ensure displays meet standards.
• Ensure financial integrity through cashier accountability, refunds, and deposits; count tills and deposit money.
• Assist with store management in the Store Manager's absence.
