Job summary

Family Dollar in Rock Hill, South Carolina is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with daily store activities, support front-end operations and help train Store Associates.

The role requires strong communication, customer service and teamwork, with the ability to lift up to 55 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment. Part-time hours and opportunities to grow within the store are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Assist in organizing stock and merchandising between stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain store fixtures, displays, and promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, cash deposits and loss prevention.
• Maintain a neat, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
