Job summary

Five Below is seeking an engaging and motivated Store Manager on Duty to oversee daily store operations, lead a team of associates, and ensure superior customer service. You will train staff, manage opening/closing procedures, and drive sales while maintaining a safe, clean, and well-organized store.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• College experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Wowing customers through personal contact and ensuring a fast, friendly checkout experience.
• Oversee daily activities of store associates and maintain high customer service standards.
• Assist with receiving, unpacking and organizing new stock for prompt sale floor placement.
• Act as Manager on Duty, taking full responsibility for store operations and staff.
• Open or close the store, secure cash, lock doors and set alarms.
• Support onboarding and ongoing training of associates on policies, product knowledge and procedures.
• Drive store sales while controlling expenses and optimizing merchandising and customer service.
• Collaborate with store leadership on merchandising and World Recovery procedures.
• Perform store maintenance including trash removal, cleaning and stock room upkeep.
