Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run a clean, customer-first store and support the Store Manager with supervision, merchandising, and deposits. The role includes stocking, cashiering, scheduling, training, and ensuring profitability while protecting assets.

You will be responsible for cash handling, planograms, inventory controls, and maintaining store standards. Frequent lifting and walking are required in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year retail experience and six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to operate cash register and scanner.
• Knowledge of cash handling and deposit procedures.

Responsabilités

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet customers and operate cash register.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling employees and training.
• Manage merchandise receiving, stocking, displays and planograms.
• Maintain inventory levels and control damages/markdowns.
• Ensure financial integrity through cash controls and deposits.
• Assist with store operations in Store Manager's absence.
