Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help maintain a clean, customer-first store and supervise staff under the Store Manager. You will assist with merchandising, inventory, deposits, and cashiering to maximize profits while protecting assets.

You will help schedule staff, train employees, and ensure compliance with policies. This role requires flexible hours and a strong focus on loss prevention and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Retail experience plus supervisory exposure preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills essential.
• Ability to manage cash handling and deposit processes.
• Familiarity with merchandising, planograms, and inventory controls.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and weekends.

Responsabilités

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet customers and operate cash register.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling and training of employees.
• Manage merchandise including receiving, stocking, displays and rotations.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and control damages and markdowns.
• Assist with planograms and store security and cash controls.
• Assist store management in the manager's absence.
