Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Shift Supervisor is responsible for the following duties, in addition to other tasks as assigned:

1. Acts as Manager on Duty (MOD), performing all necessary functions for successful store operation. Takes direction from the Store Manager and makes key decisions regarding store resources and operations.
2. Executes merchandising plans and maintains in-stock conditions throughout the store.
3. Drives engagement by communicating with customers, providing feedback, and ensuring excellent service. Resolves customer issues promptly and effectively.
4. Oversees work assignments to utilize talents and abilities while maximizing profits. Ensures compliance with labor laws, including lunch breaks and scheduling restrictions.
5. Oversees departmental procedures for receiving, producing, and replenishing merchandise, including inspecting deliveries, pricing accuracy, freshness, quality, and product rotation. Maintains necessary logs as per company policy.
6. Ensures associates operate equipment safely, complying with OSHA requirements, and that all pricing, weights, and measures laws are followed.
7. Performs daily store walks to identify successes and opportunities, provides direction and feedback, and remains visible and accessible to staff and customers.
8. Supports and implements company programs to achieve business goals. Communicates policies clearly and ensures adherence by staff.
