Job Description:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Shift Supervisor is responsible for the following duties, among others:

1. Acts as Manager on Duty (MOD), performing all necessary functions for successful store operation. The Shift Supervisor reports to the Store Manager and makes key decisions regarding store resources.
2. Executes merchandising plans and maintains in-stock conditions throughout the store.
3. Drives engagement by communicating with customers and providing feedback and service results to associates. Resolves customer issues promptly and effectively.
4. Oversees work assignments to utilize talents and abilities, maximizing profits while ensuring compliance with labor laws, including lunch breaks and scheduling restrictions.
5. Supervises procedures for receiving, producing, and replenishing merchandise, including inspecting deliveries, ensuring pricing accuracy, freshness, quality, and product rotation. Keeps necessary logs according to company policy.
6. Ensures associates operate equipment safely, complying with OSHA requirements, and maintains compliance with price accuracy, weights, and measures laws.
7. Performs daily store walks of the entire store and exterior property to identify successes and opportunities, provide direction and feedback, and maintain visibility and accessibility to associates and customers.
8. Supports and executes company programs to achieve business results. Communicates policies effectively to associates.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Shift Supervisor supervises multiple aspects of the store, ensuring all associates work safely, efficiently, and productively.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, the associate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, with or without accommodation. The requirements include:
