Job Description:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Shift Supervisor is responsible for the following duties, in addition to other assigned tasks:

1. Acts as Manager on Duty (MOD), performing all necessary functions for successful store operation. The Shift Supervisor will take direction from the Store Manager and make key decisions regarding store resources.
2. Executes merchandising plans and maintains in-stock conditions throughout the store.
3. Drives engagement by communicating with customers, providing feedback, and delivering service results to associates. Resolves customer issues promptly and effectively.
4. Oversees work assignments to utilize talents and abilities while maximizing profits. Ensures compliance with all labor laws, including lunch breaks and scheduling restrictions.
5. Oversees procedures for receiving, producing, and replenishing merchandise, including inspecting deliveries, ensuring pricing accuracy, freshness, quality, and product rotation. Maintains necessary logs according to company policy.
6. Ensures associates work and operate equipment safely, complying with OSHA requirements, and adheres to price accuracy and weights and measures laws.
7. Performs daily store walks of the entire store and exterior to identify successes and opportunities, provide feedback, and be visible and accessible to associates and customers.
8. Supports and executes all company programs to achieve business goals. Communicates policies effectively to associates and ensures understanding and adherence.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Shift Supervisor directly supervises multiple aspects of the store, ensuring all associates work safely, efficiently, and productively.

To perform this job successfully, the associate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, with or without accommodations. The requirements include:
