ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Acts as Manager on Duty (MOD), performing all necessary functions for successful store operation. Takes direction from the Store Manager and makes key decisions regarding store resources.
2. Executes merchandising plans and maintains in-stock conditions throughout the store.
3. Engages with customers, provides feedback, and resolves issues promptly and effectively.
4. Oversees work assignments to utilize talents and abilities while maximizing profits, ensuring compliance with labor laws and scheduling restrictions.
5. Oversees departmental procedures for receiving, producing, and replenishing merchandise, including inspecting deliveries, pricing, freshness, quality, and product rotation. Maintains necessary logs per company policy.
6. Ensures associates operate equipment safely, complying with OSHA standards, and maintains compliance with price accuracy and weights and measures laws.
7. Performs daily store walks to identify successes and opportunities, providing direction and feedback while being visible and accessible to associates and customers.
8. Supports and implements company programs to achieve business goals and ensures policies are communicated, understood, and followed.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Shift Supervisor supervises multiple aspects of the store, ensuring safety, efficiency, and productivity among associates.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or GED required; an associate degree or two years’ experience preferred.
