Job summary

One Energy Inc. seeks a Shift Supervisor to lead store operations and guide sales clerks in the absence of the manager. This role requires strong customer service, clear communication, organization, and the ability to lead by example.

Responsibilities include coaching staff, maintaining store cleanliness, overseeing tasks, inventory handling, cash controls, and daily reporting. Candidates should be 18+, with prior cashier/clerical experience and some leadership exposure, and be able to work

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• At least 6 months of experience in the Sales Clerk/Cashier role.
• Previous leadership experience and/or demonstrated leadership ability.
• Capable of working well without supervision.
• Flexibility to work weekend, holiday and/or evening shifts.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Excellent customer service skills and demonstrated problem solving skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate with teammates, management, and guests.
• Knowledge of store policies and procedures.
• Ability to read and understand English.
• Ability to read and understand numbers, count, add/subtract.
• Great attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Coach and direct employees to provide excellent customer service
• Maintain an awareness of cleanliness both inside and outside of the store
• Develop and assign tasks to staff members and oversee completion of tasks
• Order and receive merchandise utilizing inventory ordering guidelines
• Maintain cash and inventory control during all supervised shifts
• Report all environment, maintenance issues and unusual occurrences to the proper authority as well as management personnel
• Open and close registers for staff members, count register drawers, and resolve cash overages and shortages
• Review end of day reports and assist in preparation of daily paperwork as assigned by manager
• Audit cashier paperwork for accuracy
• Resolve customer issues and approve exceptions to policy for coupons, returns, etc.
• Train new hires and create development opportunities for experienced staff members
• Provide recognition and constructive feedback throughout the shift as appropriate
