Job summary

CrossAmerica Partners is seeking a Store Shift Lead to oversee daily convenience store operations during assigned shifts, providing exceptional customer service, leading staff, managing inventory, and handling cash to ensure smooth operations.

The role requires strong leadership, multitasking, and adherence to safety and company policies, with a focus on a clean, friendly store environment and upholding standards across merchandising, losses prevention, and reporting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; business/retail education a plus.
• 1–2 years in retail or convenience store with some supervisory experience.
• Experience with cash handling, inventory management, and customer service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise store associates during your shift.
• Assign tasks to associates (stocking shelves, operating cash register, assisting customers, cleanliness).
• Train and mentor new employees on store operations, customer service, and safety protocols.
• Address concerns or conflicts; escalate to management when necessary.
• Provide exceptional customer service and greet customers on the floor.
• Oversee opening/closing, balance cash drawers, and follow cash procedures.
• Manage stocking and inventory rotation (FIFO) and report shortages.
• Create attractive displays aligned with promotions and store branding.
• Maintain health and safety compliance and a clean store environment.
• Complete shift reports and assist with sales targets and compliance reporting.
