Job summary

Save-A-Lot is seeking a Shift Lead to direct daily store activities in the absence of the Store Manager. You will open/close the store, protect assets, supervise team members, and ensure customer service excellence across departments.

You will handle cash procedures, stock shelves, resolve customer complaints, and maintain health, safety and sanitation standards. Candidates should be 18+, have a high school diploma, and be able to travel to multiple locations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficiency in basic math: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Spanish or other languages is a plus.
• Must be able to travel to multiple work locations and be dependable.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store according to established procedures.
• Directs and monitors day-to-day activities of store team members.
• Communicates with customers in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Resolves customer complaints, including exchanges and refunds.
• Documents complaints and follows up to correct the source.
• Performs cashier and stocking duties when necessary.
• Escalates issues to Store/ District Manager as needed.
• Responds to vendors and handles deliveries.
• Stocks inventory across all departments and checks dates.
• Ensures health and safety compliance and sanitation.
• Maintains loss prevention procedures daily.
• Participates in interviews but has no hiring authority.
• Performs other duties including working in other departments.
