Job summary

ShopRite of Millville in Millville, NJ is seeking a Store Detective to protect assets and ensure a safe shopping environment. You will monitor activities, use surveillance and store systems, and address loss while delivering customer service.

Key duties include identifying shrink, apprehending suspects per policy, coordinating with management, and maintaining a secure, clean store with punctual attendance and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Able to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks during shifts.
• Regularly lifts 25 lbs and occasionally 50 lbs as part of duties.
• Capable of working in dusty environments and variable temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Use Loss Prevention tools (Lane Hawk, Smart Store) to identify and minimize loss.
• Detect and apprehend theft in a professional manner per policy and law.
• Represent the company in legal actions following apprehensions.
• Participate in investigations and communicate findings to management.
• Maintain security of doors and assets and ensure store safety.
