Michaels Stores in TRENTON-HAMILTON, NJ seeks a Sales Manager to lead a high-performing selling culture, driving strong sales results and an engaging customer experience. This role oversees front-end and service operations, ensuring consistent execution of selling behaviors, brand standards, and operational expectations.

The Sales Manager supports achievement of key sales and service KPIs through customer-focused coaching, effective day-to-day execution, and strong leadership of the store team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Experience coaching teams and improving customer service.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends and early mornings.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading adherence to SOPs and company programs to ensure compliance with laws and requirements.
• Ensure execution of policies and standards, holding team accountable for store conditions and results.
• Model and coach customer experience and selling behaviors to drive conversion and satisfaction.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage, maintaining floor leadership and operational continuity.
• Oversee POS and Self-Checkout operations to support smooth transactions.
• Lead Balloons, birthday party operations, and other in-store programs and events.
• Promote and enroll customers in the Loyalty Rewards Program to drive retention.
• Drive sales and omni-channel services including BOPIS and Same Day Delivery.
• Support Custom Framing operations and coordinating with the frame shop in select stores.
• Train and develop team members through onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
• Maintain Asset Protection practices to reduce shrink.
