Job summary

CITITRENDS, Inc. is seeking a Sales Associate to deliver excellent customer service and maintain knowledge of merchandise in-store. The role emphasizes proactive engagement with customers, integrity, effective communication, and adaptability in a dynamic retail environment.

The Sales Associate will contribute to a positive work culture, encourage employee involvement, and support change management within the store operations team. Flexibility for schedule is expected.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.

Responsibilities

• Processes freight
• Assisting with price changes/markdowns
• Balances register according to company policy
• Bags merchandise efficiently when completing a customer's transaction
• Handles all cash, checks and credit cards correctly and by company policy
• Obtains management approval when needed for returns, voids and checks
• Maintains and performs housekeeping duties as assigned
• Provides proper customer service such as greeting customers, following fitting room policies, ringing customers in, thanking customers, and inviting return visits
• Follows all safety procedures
• Maintains professional appearance and wears name tag
• Assists management in merchandising sales floor according to stock level
• Explains exchange/refund policies to customers after transactions
• Supports Store Manager with Loss Prevention procedures and reports incidents of theft or dishonesty
• Performs other duties as assigned
